Two 2007 GT500s? Less than 40 miles each? $52k per car? NO. Whoever bought these just basically wasted their money. If this adds up properly, these were driven, averaged out, half a mile per year! Money down the drain, and the seller is not going to make anywhere near what they’re asking for these. If he cuts his price in half, maybe he’ll get $18k a piece.

Stupid. You buy those cars to have fun and do burnouts. Not to make money. Maybe if he waits 30 years we will recoup the money.

I wonder if they paid mark-up on these? Or if they bought them at MSRP/invoice, and have been fruitlessly trying to sell them ever since for a profit.

Probably with markups because they seem stupid already.

I’d say so as well. I’m going to make a guess and assume these are His and Hers.

You clearly don’t know a lot about mustangs. 52k for a GT500 with 40 miles on it is an absolute steal. The’s aren’t your normal mustang GTs that depreciate to the cost of a mid level toaster oven in a few years. Just check ebay and cars.com. oh wait I’ve already done that for you

Completely agree. My GT is blue.

Craigslist is definitely not the venue to sell these. Maybe Barrett-Jackson or Mecum in about 10 years.

Consider me wrong then. It happens. I’m not much of a Mustang person, so I’m not too familar with the values. What I found was generally in the $25k range. It just seemed like an awful high asking price to me. But if it’s fair, then I stand corrected.

Why would anyone buy one of those when you can get a GT350R for 10k more?

If you’re finding GT500s in the 25k range they are either beat to shit or someone has no idea what they actually have or they took a noral gt and rebadged it. Or youre looking at the last gen mustang cobras which have sunk into the low 20s. The GT500 is the only mustang made in the last 10 years to hold its value.

With these things hitting collector car status I wouldn’t believe KBB. Most low milage examples are going anywhere from 40 to 60 depending on options

Why? Its a glorified Mustang? Why would an ‘07 be a collectors item?

Kinja'd!!!2

Don’t ask me. Just look at real low mileage prices for them. I posted a bunch earlier in the thread. I mean C6 Z06s are just a glorified corvette yet they still command c7 money for low mileage examples. The GT500 saw a return to form that left off from the Cobra and it was great. Numerous reviews said it was the mustang to buy if you were buying a 5th gen and they were absolutely right

$52k for a brand new GT500 is cheap

If I was going to buy a glorified Vette it’d be the ZR1 and as for the mustang it’d have a 2010 model.
